How to Set Up HTTP Custom for Free Internet with V2ray Method
A step-by-step guide to configure HTTP Custom using the V2ray protocol
VMess is a versatile protocol used by V2Ray, offering robust encryption and authentication capabilities. It provides enhanced security and flexibility for users who prioritize privacy and anonymity.
Vless (VMess-less) is a lightweight version of VMess, designed for users seeking a simpler and more efficient protocol. It eliminates unnecessary features and reduces overhead, making it ideal for resource-constrained environments.
Vless Serverless takes simplicity to the next level by removing the need for a dedicated server. Instead, it leverages client-side technologies to establish secure connections directly between devices.
Recommendation
We recommend using V2ray Vless or Vless Serverless as they work with almost any SNI bug host and provide better performance with lower overhead.
Step 1: Get an SNI Bug Host
Use our SNI Generator tool to find working bug hosts for your country and network provider.
A good SNI bug host is crucial for the V2ray method to work properly. The SNI host should be zero-rated (not counted against your data) by your mobile carrier. Copy the SNI bug host for use in the next step.
Step 2: Create a V2ray Server
Visit one of the recommended providers (SSHOcean or OpenTunnel) to create a V2ray server.
When creating the server, you'll be asked to choose between V2ray VMess, Vless, or Serverless. We recommend Vless or Serverless for better compatibility.
You'll also be asked for an SNI. Paste the SNI bug host you copied from our tool, then create the V2ray server.
Once created, the provider will give you a JSON configuration. Copy this JSON code for the next step.
Step 3: Configure HTTP Custom
- Open the HTTP Custom app
- Click on the puzzle icon on the top right side of the screen
- From the dropdown menu, select "V2ray Settings"
- Click on the paste icon to paste the copied V2ray server JSON configuration
- Go back to the home page
Make sure the V2ray option is selected in the main interface before connecting.
Step 4: Connect and Test
Click the "Connect" button to initiate the connection. If everything is configured correctly, you should be able to browse the internet without consuming your data balance.
Test your connection by visiting a website or using a speed test service.
Connection Failures
- Verify that your SNI bug host is still working
- Check if your V2ray server is active and not expired
- Try a different V2ray protocol (VMess, Vless, or Serverless)
- Ensure your JSON configuration is correctly pasted
- Try restarting the HTTP Custom app
App Crashes
- Clear the app cache in your device settings
- Ensure you have the latest version of HTTP Custom
- Restart your device
- Reinstall the application
