How to Set Up HTTP Custom with Psiphon Method

Step-by-step guide to configure HTTP Custom for free internet using Psiphon

What You'll Need
Before you begin, make sure you have the following:
  • HTTP Custom app installed on your device
  • A Psiphon Saver (we'll show you how to get one)

Step-by-Step Guide

1Get a Psiphon Saver

First, you need to get a Psiphon Saver by following these steps:

  1. Open your browser and search for "Psiphon Saver" or visit httpcustom.online
  2. Scroll down and click on the link from httpcustom.online
  3. Tap on the menu, then select "Psiphon Saver"
  4. Scroll down and click "Create Psiphon"
  5. Wait for 10 seconds while your Saver is generated
  6. Once it's ready, click "Copy" to copy it to your clipboard

Tip:

The Psiphon Saver is a special key that allows HTTP Custom to connect to the Psiphon network. Make sure to copy the entire key without any extra spaces.

2Open HTTP Custom

If you don't already have the app, download it from the Google Play Store using the button above.

Once installed, open the HTTP Custom app on your device.

Note:

Make sure you're using the latest version of HTTP Custom for the best compatibility with Psiphon.

3Import the Psiphon Key

Now you need to import the Psiphon key you copied earlier:

  1. In the HTTP Custom app, tap on "Psiphon"
  2. Click the extension icon (🔧) or puzzle piece icon in the top-right corner of the screen
  3. Tap on "Psiphon Settings"
  4. Paste the Psiphon key you copied earlier into the appropriate field
  5. Once pasted, go back to the main screen

Important:

Make sure the entire key is pasted correctly. If there are any missing characters or extra spaces, the connection may fail.

4Customize Settings (Optional)

You can customize the Psiphon connection settings for better performance:

Protocol Settings:

If you scroll up in the Psiphon Settings, you'll see the option to change the protocol. It's recommended to set it to "All" so HTTP Custom can automatically select the best one for you.

Available protocols include:

  • All (recommended)
  • SSH+
  • HTTPS
  • OSSH

Region Selection:

You can also change the region. It's suggested to leave it on "Best Performance" so the app chooses the best server for your location.

If you need to access content from a specific region, you can select that region instead.

5Connect

You're now ready to connect:

  1. Tap the back icon to return to the main screen
  2. Make sure "Psiphon" is selected
  3. Hit "Connect"
  4. Within a few seconds, you should be connected to the internet through Psiphon

Success Indicators:

  • The connection status will show "Connected"
  • You'll see data usage statistics start to increase
  • You should be able to browse the internet normally
Troubleshooting
If you're having issues with your Psiphon connection, try these solutions
  • Connection fails immediately: Make sure you've pasted the correct Psiphon key. Try generating a new key if the current one doesn't work.
  • Connection times out: Try changing the protocol to a different option. Some networks may block certain protocols.
  • App crashes when connecting: Clear the app cache, restart your device, and try again. Make sure you have the latest version of HTTP Custom.
  • VPN permission denied: Make sure you've granted VPN permissions to HTTP Custom in your device settings.
  • Cannot generate Psiphon key: Try using a different browser or clearing your browser cache. Alternatively, try a different Psiphon key generator website.
Advantages of the Psiphon Method
  • Global Server Network: Access to Psiphon's extensive network of servers around the world
  • Multiple Protocols: Automatic selection of the best protocol for your network conditions
  • Bypasses Censorship: Designed specifically to work in regions with heavy internet restrictions
  • Easy Setup: Simpler configuration compared to other methods like SSH or SSL/TLS
  • Regular Updates: Psiphon regularly updates their network to maintain connectivity
